Candidate Statement
My name is Ava Fruin, and I am a candidate for the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District Board of Trustees. As a product of Marin County public schools, a former educator, an education technology professional, and a parent, I have a deep connection to our community and a commitment to educational excellence.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education and bring extensive experience in the classroom, education management, and education technology leadership. In my current role as Director of Learning Experience, I lead teams that build student learning experiences to achieve both business and educational goals. Most importantly, I am a mother of three children who attend public school in our district.
My dedication to a long-term vision for LCMSD focuses on advocating for public education while empowering students, supporting teachers, and strengthening the district to reach its highest potential. I believe equity and inclusion are essential for our schools and communities to thrive. I am passionate about closing opportunity gaps and ensuring all students have access to necessary resources, representation, safety, and opportunities to grow.
I would be honored to receive your support. Together, we can make meaningful progress and ensure a successful future for our children and our district.
